The Lich peers up into the sky, unnatural eyes narrowed. They catch sight of the object fluttering far above, and gaze at it for some time.
Draco promptly picks up his Nimbus 5000 broom, holding it close to himself possessively. He looks at the others with an imperious frown.
Kelsier stands still and closes his eyes. He tilts his head in concentration, as if trying to sense something.
The InstallShield Wizard grabs one of the brooms from the ground. It's not nearly as nice as Draco's, but it's not nothing.

Malfoy seems to be shaken by this, and nods in understanding.
Malfoy himself picks up some dice, and investigates an odd fate-tied phenomenon he's noticed lately.
He isn't happy with the results of his throw.
Tarhiel refers to some kind of a manual and fiddles with one of the brooms.
He seems to get something done.

In turn, Mickey takes a business card from Yu, and scribbles something on it. He then gives it to Beatrice.
beatrice doesn't sign it, but pockets it.
She gets on a broom, stands on the ground with it between her legs, and says "Broom activate!"
...Nothing happens.
She sighs, and summons golden butterflies to carry herself towards the snitch.
She doesn't seem powerful enough to reach it, but she gets fairly close.

The Lich focuses intently on Claus.
While they're doing that...
Beatrice runs up and takes a swing with her fist!
...She misses.
But then...
Ellen in her newfound anime boy body, strikes a cute pose and giggles.
...And then swings the fancy-hilted sword at the Lich!
It connects!
The sword slashes into the Lich's skeletal form, dealing him 1 heart of damage.
But that's not all...
Battler (in his new squeaky little girl voice) shouts: "Everyone knows Liches aren't real, your fancy costume isn't fooling anyone!"
And whacks the Lich over the head with his broom!
Ouch!
That did 0.25 hearts of damage.
Then, the now-Unmasked Man looks into the sky, and tries to use his PSI powers to summon the Snitch...
At the same time, though...
Kelsier pops some iron filings into a vial, and downs it!
Claus's PK Magnet brings the Snitch closer, but it's diverted by the power of Kelsier's Allomancy!
Kelsier reaches out his hand...
...And despite the pull of the PSI energy, it gets just close enough for him to jump up and snatch it!
Kelsier has caught the Golden Snitch!

(No, but from what I know - the last needle is the one that matters the most.)
(So while I've done the requisite preparatory work so far, the Lich could very well sweep up and take the wish from my grasp. Or any of you, for that matter.)
(Don't particularly care if one of you wishes on it at this point, but I think it's in all of our best interests that the Lich doesn't.)
It would be fun if I got it but unless you're wrong and it doesn't need all of them to work I wouldn't be able to get my wish anyway

(All the needles need to be pulled in order to get the wish - however, it's only the person who pulls the last needle - as in, the one in the snitch - who gets the wish.)
Battler stands between them, pushing the Lich away with his broom.
As the monster staggers, Battler stands aside and Ellen rushes in with her fancy-hilted sword and strikes the Lich!
Looks like a nasty cut, but they seem to be mostly enraged than hurt.
Time for retaliation.
The Lich tosses out a primary fireball at...
Kelsier!
There's no dodging this one...
Due to Battler's broom pushing the Lich away from Kelsier and Claus, they are far enough to take less damage from the fireballs!
Kelsier gets blasted, but he stands up!
Then the Lich starts tossing out fireballs at random...
Battler dodges it!
Beatrice is hit!
Ellen is hit!
Claus dodges it...
And jumps on the Lich from behind!
He completely misses and falls on the ground!
So much for a smackdown.
